• With the latest 4.8.x version of Jetpack, I honestly have to say I am very disappointed in the new design. In my opinion, the new design is really not user friendly and the wordpress.com toolbar is even more confusing when you are not sure if you are in your familiar WP dashboard or somewhere else such as wordpress.com

I had noticed the Widget Visibility and Jetpack contact modules were nowhere to be seen and then posting this in the support, I find out the solution is to go to your Dashboard page on your site’s dashboard. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “Debug” link. Then, look for the link that says “Access the full list of Jetpack modules available on your site.”

….should not have to do that. Before, it was easy enough to go through the tabs then activate what modules you want.

Sorry people, but a long time ago I was not a fan of Jetpack, then as improvements were coming in, I started to warm up again and was starting to use it more and even signed up for a premium jetpack package; now I am planning to drop it and use separate plugins to replace the modules I was using. Jetpack (and wordpress.com) is getting too intrusive now.

We will have to see where things go over the next year with Automattic and its Jetpack product and how it’s getting integrated into the self-hosted WP.

    Thanks for the feedback!

The new design is indeed quite a big change compared to the old Jetpack dashboard. You can read more about the redesign and its objectives in our release post here. As mentioned there, it’s still a work in progress; we’ll iterate on that design and make some more changes based on the feedback we get from Jetpack users like you.

That’s definitely something we’ll need to address. You can follow our discussion about this here:
    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/6788

If you have any suggestions to solve that problem, don’t hesitate to post them there or on this thread: I’ll post your feedback on the GitHub issue so we can continue to gather feedback that can help us make the right choices in our next design iteration.

    Thank you!
