Wrong email configuration! Please contact administration error

    When I add the signup for newsletter function in the footer, I get the above error, when I try to sign up for my newsletter.
    I have C&P the API from MailChimp, and set the List ID to the Aduience in the Mail Chimp section.
    So – I probably doing something wrong here – but what?
    Thank you for any help guiding me in the right direction.

    Hi @mejer,

    Does a normal / usual contact form work on your site? If not, you’ll have to check the email addresses set in your Dashboard and also try to get help from your hosting provider.

    I am receiving the identical error “Wrong email configuration! Please contact administration” after setting up the Orbit Fox Newsletter Form, carefully verifying Provider Settings Access Key = Mailchimp API Key and List ID = Mailchimp Audience ID as instructed on https://docs.themeisle.com/article/951-orbit-fox-documentation (including
    the map field to “email” workaround). The website’s normal/usual contact form at https://aeropro.eco/contact-us/ works without error (except it oddly does not transmit the First Name field content). What more can I do to troubleshoot??

    Following up with a critical clue: The newsletter signup form kicking out the “wrong configuration” file is placed in a global footer created as a custom layout (Appearance > Custom Layouts). However, the form works just fine when a single occurrence of it is placed on one page. Please guide me on overcoming the newsletter signup global footer obstacle. — Mark
