Thanks for using Independent Analytics.
We’re not aware of any bugs with the IP detection. When you check with whatismyip vs. the IP address shown in the Analytics > Settings menu, are you comparing both the IPv4 and IPv6? Is it possible that your router is using a dynamic IP address that is changing regularly?
It is showing now 104.23.166.103, yesterday evening it was 172.71.103.169. But whatismyip is saying all the time 80.115.140.225.
My router doesn’t use dynamic IP address.
Thank you for letting me know.
We’ve put together a modified copy of the plugin to help debug this. Please download it from here and install it on your site.
Once installed, please visit this menu on your site and share a screenshot of what you see: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=independent-analytics-debug
The menu will include the various properties we check to get the IP address, and hopefully, one of those will return the same IP that you see when using whatismyip.
Hi,

it’s different then whatismyip showing
Okay thanks for letting me know. In this case, there must be something coming from the hosting or CDN that is modifying the IP address found. Could you reach out to us at [email protected]? We’ll need to discuss more sensitive site details that can’t be posted in the public forum.
Thank you!
I have send a email a few seconds ago.
