Wrong metadescription
-
Hello, I have been using Yoast SEO for indexing and defining the title and metadescription of my website. When I access to the main page, the HTML displays the correct metadescription (“Nos especializamos en la comercialización de…”). However, the shown metadescription in Google is something like “Hosting web en España de alta velocidad…” when searching reframe.es, which is wrong. I have talked with the domain providers and they do not have anything to do with this.
I have done the correct steps, such as selecting the https://reframe.es/sitemap_index.xml as the main sitemap in Search Console and I have created the robots.txt with Yoast SEO with “Sitemap: https://reframe.es/sitemap_index.xml“. Is there something missing?

Hello @josuebdigital,
Thanks for reaching out. Since what you have entered in the plugin is shown in the page source (HTML), Yoast SEO is working. I understand that what appears in Google search results is different but Google ultimately decides what to show in search results, and what you enter in our plugin is a suggestion.
I recommend posting a question in the Google Search Central Help Community for further assistance.
I have the same issue and there is already a topic on Google search Central.
The problem is not related to Google but to Yoast.
Yoast didn’t give update information about categories, product title and meta descriptions. This problem is for months already.
How do I know that?
The newly created categories are not in the site index by Yoast and didn’t send the update information to the sitemap and not to Google. The ONLY solution for now is to manually add every product link/categorie to Google search index and ask for a validation.
This is really not good for Yoast and need to be fixed.
