when I try to pin an image from my website I get an invalid url. Below is the returned error:
Parameter ‘source_url’ (value http://69.195.124.211/~shpotter/diy-how … 3a8d2341ed) is not a valid URL format.

I am really sorry for the delay here, but I am trying to find out what is going on and I will be sure to let you know as soon as I have something for you.
Thank you for your patience!
Alright so I ran some tests and couldn’t find anything on our end so far. I ran it through the official Pinterest builder as well and I got the same error. So I have a couple of questions:
– Is your site setup as a public URL?
– Do you have your site linked to a domain name ( instead of just an IP address )?I have a feeling it has something to do with one of those, but would like to see if you can change those around to get it working. Since it is not coming back as valid through Pinterest then I think the problem is beyond the plugin and we just need to track it down so that we can get everything working smoothly for you.
If you can get back to me on those questions above I will do what I can to help you further.
Thanks,

I have the same problem. Here is what I get:
Parameter ‘source_url’ (value http://69.195.124.211/~messinwi/blueberry-buckle/) is not a valid URL format.
HELP!?!?!
Thanks, Lisa Hund
Sorry, the main website is messinwithperfection.com
Does this actually work on the main website?
I assume the site you sent with the IP address as the domain is some sort of staging/development site?
I have noticed that sites with URLs like that seem to not come back as valid URLs. If that is the case, are you able to try it on a live site?
If I go directly to the main site, just as a viewer would, http://www.messinwithperfection.com, and try to use the Pin It button, it starts out normal, with a box popping up asking me to pick a board, but when I click on the Pin it button there, I get the invalid url message.
Check your permalinks under settings. It looks like your blog posts and image URLs are still using links intended for development or testing, not a live site. I clicked on a blog post and it took me to http://69.195.124.211/~messinwi/homemade-oreo-cookies/.
Once the links and image URLs are fixed it should pin fine.
I wondered why they always showed up like that.
HOW DO I CHANGE THEM?I am such a newbie to all of this. I don’t even know what SHOULD go in there or how to get it there.
Seems like you might need some technical help getting things configured. There are some helpful WordPress services out there like http://www.wpsitecare.com/ or https://codeable.io/ that might get you up and running.
Probably, but I have been out of work for awhile. That is why and how I had time, to start this site. I have a new job, but it doesn’t start until late this week and then it will take a while to free up some cash. I was hoping for a resolution before then.
I have this same problem. My URL links are invalid apparently. Not sure what to do abut it?
I don’t know why I have all these numbers before my website name either? My website only went live yesterday…. this is frustrating.
Please help!
