The website [ redundant link deleted ] works awesome. The problem is with all the notification emails regarding (un)successful updates. It refers to the site with an alternative name https://nowuteku.myhostpoint.ch. This _was_ the name of the temporary hosting while we were in the process to transfer the domain name. But where does WordPress get this obsolete name from? it is not in WP_SITEURL WP_HOME, Settings show the proper name for address and site. What other location store a domain name?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Are you sure the messages are coming from the current domain? It looks like there’s still a website on the old domain. If there’s a WordPress site there, the emails might actually be coming from there.

    Hi @abrioofgkcibzcueldxk

I hope you are doing great.
Are you using a third party plugin to handle smtp or your emails. In that case, it could be that the plugin is using the previous domain settings. Plugins like Branda has that option to change the name of the site or address. Can you cross check with the settings if you are using any plugin to handle sending emails on your site.

    Warm Regards

Hi, this issue is usually related to the site URL settings in WordPress.

Please go to Settings > General and make sure both WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) are correct. You can also check your wp-config.php file to see if the URLs are hardcoded there.

Additionally, clear your cache and check if any plugin might be modifying email settings.

Like I wrote . Those point all to the proper url. For a cron job sending notification emails where do I clear the cache?

I think the note refers to the caching plugins you’ve installed. You can usually clear their cache in the backend.

However, I would check again to make sure the emails aren’t actually coming from the old domain. When I visit it, I’m taken to a WordPress site that’s in maintenance mode. But there’s one running under the domain from which you’re receiving emails. I’m pretty sure the emails are coming from there, not from your live domain.

That indeed seem to be the problem. We had a hosting _before_ we received the transfer code for the domain and started building. Where I thought we just duel domained the same installation in fact there was a copy of the website made.

After disabling that one it seems to be silent now.
