Just the clarification on my side for other users:-
We offer refunds only if the plugin isn’t actually working as mentioned.
We politely asked the user to let us check the issue and provide any possible fix, if the issue remains unfixed, we will issue a full refund but the user denied our support so we rejected the refund.
Moreover, the user said the emails are not working which seems very unlikely because the same functionality is part of free version as well.

This is a well known issue and it happens because of the “failed wordpress cron” functionality in your site.
