Wunderground Plugin won't install

I’m trying to install Wunderground on my website using the built in plugin installer. I get a message that the plugin is installing, but it doesn’t install. I am using the latest version of WordPress.
I am a complete novice and not sure what to do. My webhost doesn’t want to help.
Any direction will be much appreciated.
