The “X” likely comes from another plugin on your site. To find out which one it is, you can do a conflict test with the Health Check plugin. Instruction can be found in this documentation: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/troubleshooting-using-health-check/
I made the recommended updates and removed inactive themes and plugins per the health check recommendations. The issue is still occurring however. Do I need to complete the troubleshooting? Does that in any way alter the site as it states it will need to disable plugins and revert to the original theme.
All plugins currently on my site were recommended plugins from the theme.

Please enable the troubleshooting mode in Health Check to test. Since Health Check would only disable the plugins/ theme in your user session, it won’t affect your site and how other users see it.
Do I need to back up my website before I proceed?
I attempted this troubleshoot however the issue is still occurring.
I see from the product linked above that when I select a Length in the dropdown, the red circle with a white x no longer appears next to the item. As the issue seems to be resolved, and we haven’t heard back from you in a while, I’ll go head and mark this thread as resolved.
