x theme

i have x theme which has customizer and a typography section with google fonts already there. i added the plugin and created a control called baskerville ( i want to add baskerville libre font)
but i don’t see the advantage of all of the plugin, since it sort of replicates the customizer that pre-existed.
now i did get this which was somewhat new
font-family (stack): Baskerville,”Baskerville old face”,”Hoefler Text”,Garamond,”Times New Roman”,serif
Font being rendered: “Baskerville old face”
which i think is coming from my font collection on my pc ?
since it says (System).
but in any case it is not the desired font, which remains unlisted.
what am i missing ?
