Xcloner clone to localhost problems

Hello,

I have tried to clone a site hosted on mediatemple(gs) to a localhost.
I downloaded the clone and used ftp to put the tar.php and xcloner.php files into a localhost directory, and created an empty database with phpmyadmin…

When I try to access http://localhost/mysite/xcloner.php the browser tries to download the xcloner.php file and does not start the restore process.

Any idea what is going wrong?
