I have your plugin installed and activated but I’m still seeing this message “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.” in the browser if I load xmlrpc.php in browser, instead of a ‘forbidden’ message. My understanding is that this means the plugin is not working.

My understanding is that the plugin will only disable XML-RPC methods that require authentication. There still may be methods that do not require authentication.

@fergbrain is correct.

The plugin utilizes the xmlrpc_enabled filter (https://developer.ww.wp.xz.cn/reference/hooks/xmlrpc_enabled/) which disables XML-RPC methods that require authentication. It does not control pingbacks or other custom endpoints that don’t require authentication.
