XML Sitemap with Reverse Proxy | ww.wp.xz.cn

Our WordPress blog is hosted on a subfolder using a reverse proxy. As a result we are finding the XML sitemap is pointing to a different domain to the main site. Is there anything we can configure in the plugin configuration to resolve this or do we need to make changes to our reverse proxy rewrite rules?

If you are already using nginx module to rewrite HTML links then you should add text/xml to “sub_filter_types”.

If you want to avoid other complications then it’s the best way to set WordPress/Site URL to real address (WP settings).

Last possibility is to use filters (PHP code) to replace URLs, but it could be tricky because URLs could be marked as “external”.

Hi

If I could keep this open, that would be appreciated.

We’re working through the solutions provided by Sasa but haven’t had confirmation that one of the works yet.

Although I don’t mind opening a new thread in future if I have to. Just asking.
