XMLHttpRequest cannot load

Hi Guys

I have recently taken over a website that is not loading properly and when I check the console in Chrome I get the following error:

XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://harlequinpaint.com/wp-content/plugins/advanced-browser-check/advanced-browser-check.php. No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. Origin ‘http://www.harlequinpaint.com’ is therefore not allowed access.

I have tried uninstalling the plugin but then I get 404s of the plugin not being found and the website still doesn’t load properly. It was built on WordPress Twenty Twelve theme by the previous web designer.

i’m not sure if the layout error is as a result of the plugin or as a result of the php version being used by the host…

Please assist.
