I’ve not heard this reported before. So the posts must exist in the DB if you are able to edit them by going directly to the URL with the post_id.
Can you outline the exact steps to reproduce this, including what versions you are using of each (iphone app/marsedit and WP)? The first step in figuring this is being able to reliably reproduce the problem.
I’ve filed this post under 2.8.3 but its actually 2.8
the iphone app is v1.21.1
the marsedit is v2.3.3 (2784)
also in my previous post i say it appears everywhere fine it doesnt
it appears in the post lists in the back end fine
the url to the post in the front end works fine
but it still doesnt appear in the front end list of feeds
I had a similar problem when I upgraded from 2.7
all my posts disappeared and I had to visited each one by entering the id into the url to get them all back (I had done a backup but backed up the wrong db)
I’ve just upgraded to 2.8.4
and its still doing the same thing
although in the latest test when i created a post via marsedit once i had mannually entered the edit url with id the post then appeared everywhere including the front end list
Have you tried disabling all of you plugins? I wonder if you have one that is causing this interference.
