• Duplicate orders are created when either re-saving a (subscription) product or editing the status of the product, e.g. changing from Processing to Completed. The latter creates another order with the status ‘On hold’.

The website uses and updated, Versions of wordpress, plugin, php version and theme.

The issue happens when all other plugins are disabled (apart from the necessary ones).

The paypal configuration uses a Payment Token instead of the outdated IPN notification. I did read the thread regarding deleting this option but a) I do not want to use IPN notifications as the preferred method is to use a payment token.

Hi there, the issue is caused by Payment Token!
The subscription plugin need only to IPN notification.
So please try to remove the Payment token

When will this issue be resolved? Looking back through tickets, people have been asking about this for a while.

I’m certain that it is losing you sales. Who wants to pay for a subscription to your software if they can’t even get a standard PayPal setup running with the free version?

I mean look at it from the prospect’s perspective…if PayPal doesn’t work (how it should) and you have to have a subscription to use Stripe and other payment gateways, then the free version is (in effect) a broken plugin.

In the back of the prospect’s mind, they are thinking…if this one doesn’t work with today’s standards (or isn’t kept up to date with PayPal), will the paid version work?…or am I buying even more problems?

So…when do you plan to fix this?
