@rdiggins
We are sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with our plugin. We totally understand how that could be frustrating for you to seeing incorrect SEO scores! Let’s get down to the bottom of what’s going on here.
We understand the SEO scores don’t match between the overview page and the particular individual page. This issue typically occurs when Yoast SEO needs to recalculate the SEO scores for the relevant pages.
Can you please try resetting our indexables in the database tables by following the steps below?
1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
3. Hit the “Reset indexables & migrations” button.
4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “SEO Data Optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your pages.
For your site’s health and safety, we recommend creating regular backups of your site and database. This is especially important before installing, updating, or removing plugins. Learn more about the benefits of regular backups.`
Hi
Thank you for your reply
I did all that and cleared caches and no the Dashboard is still not pulling in the correct traffic lights.
If I go into the list of posts they are showing amber however when I go into each individual post they are green.
So perhaps this error is not the dashboard talking to the post list – its the post list talking to the post itself ? Does that make sense ?
Any further suggestions ?
Regards
Hi @rdiggins
Are you using the default WordPress block or classic editor to edit your content? Or are you using a third-party page builder plugin or custom theme box to add your content?
Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.
Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.
If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts
If you do not feel comfortable to do this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.
Hi
To edit my content I am using Elementor in the theme Astra.
Re the healthcheck I have the following which I have had for some time and have raised before and been told it is of no concern. Is that correct or could this be causing the issue ?
Site Health Status
The site health check shows critical information about your WordPress configuration and items that require your attention.

One or more recommended modules are missing Performance
PHP modules perform most of the tasks on the server that make your site run. Any changes to these must be made by your server administrator.
The WordPress Hosting Team maintains a list of those modules, both recommended and required, in the team handbook (opens in a new tab).
Warning The optional module, imagick, is not installed, or has been disabled.

if you can answer this then if no further light is shed on the issue I will try your other suggestions re plugin conflicts

Hi @rdiggins
Thanks for letting us know that you are using Elementor to add your content.
We understand how confusing it is to have the Yoast SEO analysis provide you with a different score on a post, depending on the view.
Elementor does not make all of their content available to the default editor which can potentially cause mismatched scores. The score that you see when using the Elementor builder is able to see the content that is hidden to the default editor and thus is a more accurate score compared to the default editor.
Luckily, a so-called “bug report” (a description of the issue, so we can fix it) is filed already.
What’s next?
Our product team will assess the severity of this problem in relation to other open bug reports and new features. Based on their assessment, the bug report will be given a priority level. Our developers work on the highest priority issues first. Unfortunately, this means we cannot give you an estimate of when they’ll start working on this report.
So this would explain why the scores in the post or page overview would show differently than when you would edit in Elementor. For the most accurate content analysis, we recommend going by the scores and assessments inside the Elementor integration – https://yoast.com/help/how-to-use-yoast-seo-in-elementor/
Ok thats great – at least I know its not something that I am doing wrong.
Heres hoping the bug report gets to the top of the pile and gets fixed soon.
Thanks for all your efforts to answer my query.
Till next time
Rupert
