Yoast fetching old data

I created a new domain and migrated my files from the old one. The previous one had about 640 posts and I removed all but 6 of them. I want the websites to be on different topics. Next I installed yoast. I had removed yoast some time back and installed Rank Math. Now I am returning to yoast. I assume that the old data is still being picked up somehow and the post count is being showed. Does yoast on its free plugin not refresh to verify the current count and state of posts. How can I get a correct number in the General settings area. It shows 767 post where as I have only 6 in all.
