Hello, I apologize if this has been posted elsewhere. I checked, but haven’t seen anything.

I first noticed this when I moved my sites from PHP 7.x to 8.0. I was getting out of memory errors, like this:

`[04-Aug-2022 17:30:09 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /home/webbsites/ivey-construction.com/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/integrations/blocks/block-categories.php on line 76

The problem went away when I moved back to PHP 7.x. When I deactivated Yoast, the problem went away. However, not all sites with Yoast have this problem. So after deactivating/activating other plugins, it appears that the mix of Yoast, iThemes Security, and PHP 8.0 causes the problem. When I drop down to PHP 7.x, this problem doesn’t appear.

I created a test site using out-of-the-box WordPress along with Yoast and iThemes, using 8.0. Same problem.

    Any thoughts?
