Yoast or Textmetrics
-
I would be grateful for some advice and suggestions.
Around April of this year, I set up a WordPress website (spiritualperspectives.online) hosted by Go Daddy. I am not too sure if this Forum is geared around WordPress sites hosted by Go Daddy? But, no doubt, someone will advise me. In any event, the site focuses on philosophical ideas from a contemporary perspective and in helping to fuse Eastern and Western thought.
Initially, I used the free Yoast plugin with limited to virtually no success in the Google search ranking (searching for titles of blogs, keywords and meta descriptions). I then upgraded to the Premium Yoast plugin with practically the same very limited results. A few weeks ago I installed the Textmetrics plugin with similar results. In any event, can Yoast and Textmetrics work together side by side or should I disable one?
I know that blog posts should conform to best Google SEO practices in order to rank higher in searches but I feel uneasy in cramping writers’ styles in order to fit in with Google criteria.
Admittedly, the content of the blog posts are not necessarily ‘easy’ reading and do not fit in with the pattern of search criteria but there should be a way in which they can rank higher?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
