    Hi,
I’ve searched this forum and found a few related items, but nothing directly.

This is the site in question: https://www.materialshandlingsys.com/

I have several other sites all using the same host and Yoast and connected to ManageWP. Every Monday at 6am, there is an automatic plug-in update on all my sites. In the past 4 weeks, we have noticed that the Yoast plugin has twice been deactivated for the site that I’ve listed above.

The other sites have not shown this issue.

I’ve checked with the developer, the host and no one has an answer as to why this would keep happening. No one has made any manual changes or added any new plugins. It’s obviously very concerning and I’m not sure what to do to try to sort this out so it won’t happen again.

    Please help.

    Leland

  • Hi @lance4170,

Thank you for reaching out and giving a thorough explanation of the situation.

Without knowing a lot about the site setup and hosting details, it’s hard to pinpoint the cause, we’re afraid. However, from experience, when a plugin is not activated after an update, we believe that the plugin files/extraction wasn’t successful. That way the plugin is not complete and can’t be activated.

It’s hard to troubleshoot this. It can be of server resources, available disk space, file permissions, an incomplete downloaded update file, …

Did you update the plugin manually after having this issue? Did that work? Additionally, please do check if your site and your host meet the plugin requirements found here: https://yoast.com/help/plugin-requirements/

We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
