YOAST SEO Plugin

I have downloaded the YOAST SEO plugin, within the plugin I have updated the:
Your Info, in the webmaster tools I have registered with Bing & Google, in the Titles & Metas option I have enabled meta keywords template and under the “Home Page” tab, updated the Title template, meta description and Meta keywords..

But when I search in bing, I do not see these changes reflected in the browser. Searching in Google, I barely even locate the first one– even when I type in the entire url into the search.

What am I doing wrong? I am learning as I go and have been trying to use the information available, but it seems like my SEO efforts have been failing.
