• Hello,

    I use variable in description section. But in AMP version, it doesn’t convert variable to data. For example I fill description section like this :

    This is my site title : %%sitename%% , and this is my site site description : %%sitedesc%%

    And when I check source code of AMP version of site :

    <meta property=”og:description” content=”This is my site title : %%sitename%% , and this is my site site description : %%sitedesc%%” />

    Screenshot : http://prntscr.com/26bc94j

    And whatever I wrote someting in TITLE section of Yoast Seo of page, output is : Site Name + Post Title.

    I have this problem only with homepage, not with Posts.

    How can I fix it?

    Thanks you.

    Can you please share the URL of your website once?

    Hello. Sorry it is a private site, I can not share it here. You can try yourself. Just install Yoast SEO and add some variables to description section of posts or mainpage. Then check source codes of AMP version of page which you added variables to description section.

    Sure, we will check it but can you please let me know where you are placing them exactly? If possible can you please share some reference of where you are adding it exactly?

    You can see the list of variables of Yoast SEO here : https://yoast.com/help/list-available-snippet-variables-yoast-seo/

    Just install Yoast SEO plugin. Create a post and add some variables to Meta Description section of Yoast SEO meta area which is placed under post editor. After that publish this post.

    Then check source codes of this post/page. You will see the problem which I told on first post of this topic.

    Sorry for the delay in getting back extremely. We tested it on our end and in our observation, We did not get the mentioned issue. you can see it in the below screenshot. It might be due to conflict with other plugins. Can you please check it once by deactivating the plugins one by one on your site and let me know back the conflict plugin?

    Hello,

    Thanks you for answer. Yes there is not problem with posts, but I have with static page which is set for index. Did you test it with posts or index page? I set a page for frontpage of site. And when I do all these variable things with this page, I have this problem.
