I found that maybe plugin is doing something that interferes with WordPress REST API.

E.g. we have errors with Redirection 3

You can install Redirection and go to “support” tab: /wp-admin/tools.php?page=redirection.php&sub=support

WordPress REST API	Problem REST API returns an error code (40x - https://xxxxxxxxxxxxx/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=red_proxy&rest_path=)
Redirection routes	Problem REST API is not working so routes not checked

I isolated the problem with only both plugins activated, on various sites.

    Hello

We haven’t tested it yet. It is lined up. We will update it after testing it.

    Thanks

Thanks, tell me if I can test or help.

I don’t use this WC plugin but I got the same error with Redirection. For me this is because of the IP GEO Block plugin which modifies the URL as follows:

    /wp-admin/tools.php?page=redirection.php&sub=support&ip-geo-block-auth-nonce=xxxxxxxxxxx

On disabling that plugin, I’m able to see my Redirects 404 log.
Without disabling that plugin, the problem is avoided with a change on the Redirection Options page. Switch REST API from Proxy Over Admin AJAX to Default /wp-json/.

I am guessing that this WC plugin also modifies the URL, so changing that REST API setting for Redirection may help.

    Good luck.

Thanks @starbuck, changing that setting to any value don’t solve the issue.

I don’t know why REST API is neccessary to this plugin and why interferes, causing two “Problem” on Redirection support tab.

Just to add that I tried installing this plugin and couldn’t reproduce a problem with Redirection. There may be some additional setup involved that I don’t have, but on the surface it doesn’t seem like there is conflict. If someone has a reproducible setup that I can test I’d be happy to investigate

    Hello @johnny5, thanks for coming.

Seems that this plugin latest version solved the conflict, but there aren’t any word about it in the changelog.

You can test previous version to see the issue:

Ah yes, that does indeed cause a problem. Glad it’s fixed!
