whooami, I’m just posting here because I happened to be on this forum at the time. There are lots of folks here who embed youtube vids on their blogs or with podpress, so I thought maybe someone might have more info or be inclined to join a discussion re: youtube outage. Grab another cup of coffee and a muffin and relax.
Here’s some good info about the previous youtube outage, which may possibly point to the cause of the current outage.
Could a BGP block also affect WordPress in a similar way? We’ve all really come to like the automatic code updates, but could the interconnectedness of the WordPress platform have unintended consequences for standalone domains? What can we do to minimize or prevent such problems?
I thought maybe someone might have more info or be inclined to join a discussion re: youtube outage.

Sorry, I thought this miscellaneous forum category was for across-the-yard questions and discussions… plus I think the BGP block issue may apply to the growing interconnectedness of the WordPress platform (see revised post above.)
