Hi, I’m having an issue with the Youtube background video on a page’s section – the video is very very low quality (even though the video itself on youtube.com is very high quality). How can I fix this? Please help! Thanks

    Hi,

Could you please send us a page link with Youtube background video so that we could have a closer look? Thanks.

Also, please consider that video resolution and aspect ratio can look different as section video background.

    Hi,

Thanks for sending us page URL.

Latest YouTube Iframe player API adjusts the quality of your video stream based on your viewing conditions and there is no way to force the video quality. The previous quality setting has been deprecated. For more info, please refer to:

So you’re saying that this video will always look blurry and bad like this? That doesn’t seem accurate to me, because why would this blurry video be acceptable to anyone that is using YouTube’s embed api? Is there something else we can do here to improve the quality of the embedded video? Any suggestions or advice here? It looks really really bad…
    Thanks

    Hi,

    We understand you completely.
One of the alternate solutions is to use Vimeo (Plus / Pro) as video hosting or to self-host videos in HD, so that is the only video version which can be played on your site.
