Hey,
I’ll try to replicate the issue with our testing multisite. Can you please tell me which version of the plugin you’re using and which browser?
Best,
Mateja

i’m using the latest version of your plugin (3.1) and latest version of firefox (25.0.1)
Hey,
We tried to replicate the issue on several instances of WordPress and browsers, but to no avail. This error message was shown only when the computer was offline. Next time we were online we deactivated/re-activated the plugin and the error message disappeared.
Did you try to deactivate and re-activate the plugin?
Are you perhaps behind a proxy or a firewall that might be interrupting the connection?
Hello Mateja
I deactivated and activated the plugin both with the firewall off and with the firewall on. No change, the message is still there. I’m not using any proxy.
Hey guys, thanks to everybody for all your help so far, but we still haven’t figured our what might be going on. We are going to continue with the testing on our side throughout the weekend and we’ll get back to you with our results on Monday.
Hopefully with some good news!
In the meantime — if you find anything suspicious or if there’s anything that you might find to be helpful to us, do not hesitate to let us know. It goes without saying that we’ll appreciate it!
Take care & have a nice weekend ahead!
Best,
Silvo
Hi,
Is there a fix for this already I’m also having this error message in my multisite. I have tried to deactivate then reactivate but no joy.
I’m willing to give an access to my installation if that will help the author investigate.
Thanks!
Joe
Hey Joe, sorry for not being able to get back to you any sooner, but unfortunately we still haven’t been able to get to the bottom of this problem, which is why we would really appreciate your credentials, if possible. Let us know if this is still a viable option, since we’re really eager to find out more about it.
Here’s my email address: support[at]zemanta[dot]com
Take care & I’m looking forward to your reply!
Best,
Silvo
Hi Silvo,
Sent you an email.
Let us know here and in the email what you found out.
Thanks!
Joe
Hey Joe, big thanks for the access, although we hadn’t had much success figuring out why this message is appearing in the first place. But still, we’re confident enough we’ll get it sorted eventually!
Is this site of yours running on your own servers or are they hosted by someone else? Do they have any special firewall software installed? If so, could they be blocking the communication between your plugin and our servers? Do you by any chance have any administrators signed up, who could take a closer look at it?
Let us know, we’re eager to find out! Take care & I’m looking forward to your reply!
Best,
Silvo
Hi Silvo,
Thank you very much for taking time to check this.
The server is self hosted by us.
I can ping zemanta.com without problem from the server itself, you can give me the IP that I can add in the firewall whitelist just to be sure.
Thanks again!
Joe
