    Hi Wolfs,

Thanks for using Caldera Forms, we’re glad you’re a part of our community.

File uploader fields can be tricky. I recommend taking a look at our documentation for this functionality.

    The Basics: https://calderaforms.com/doc/file-upload-fields/
    Advanced: https://calderaforms.com/doc/advanced-file-field/
    Breakdown: https://calderaforms.com/doc/how-caldera-forms-file-attachments-uploads-work/

There’s some important things to note with the file uploader field. First of all, your allowed file types are dependent both what you specify in the Allowed Types setting, but also on your WordPress site’s allowed file types.

When files don’t seem to be saved or sent, it is often an issue of setting “Attach To Mailer.” If this setting is set up, your file could be sent, but not saved. This, coupled with an unreliable email server, means your file would appear not sent nor saved. We recommend revising your settings in this instance.

Finally, we don’t recommend using a basic file field for multiple files. If you are trying to accept multiple file uploads, we recommend using the advanced file uploader.
