    Hi there,
    Cool plugin!
I have a minor problem thought, the zoom area is not displayed within the image boundaries, it starts a some 20 pixels lower.

Also, I can’t get the zoom to work on Android and iOS as your demo works.
Do I have to make some extra actions besides adding the shortcode?

    Cheers,
    Adrian

All of the zoom scripts I tried seem to be a bit flaky on IOS (& probably any other touch OS) due to the workarounds because of the lack of a mouseover state on a touch OS. I built my plugin as a wrapper around the evolvezoom script as it seems to support IOS better than the others I tried which didn’t work at all. I don’t have access to any android devices so I can’t test on that, but for IOS on the iPad a brief tap followed by a drag seems to work, but it isn’t always easy to get the timing right for it to work. This is a limitation of the script.

There may be a CSS issue causing the misaligned zoom area – I’d need to see the page where this occurs to check whether there’s any obvious reason for this to occur on your site, but you could troubleshoot by temporarily deactivating other plugins and switching to the default theme and then reactivating one-by-one to identify the incompatibility.

    Thank you for fast response.

The strange thing is that your demo works great on both iOS and Android, but mine doesn’t. This is also true for Chrome, your demo works, mine doesn’t. Would you care to take a look at: http://goo.gl/0uz2Jj ?
Unfortunately I cannot test with WP default theme as I’m targeting featured images of a CP created by the premium theme I’m using. But having it work in Firefox and Internet Explorer makes the whole situation pretty odd.

Please forget about the misalignment I reported earlier as it only occurs in Firefox 22 on an older machine, I guess it’s a hardware problem there.
    Cheers!

Does it do the same if you use it to target featured images of posts? If so you can test to see whether this is a theme-specific issue. Also deactivating all plugins and testing will help you identify whether there is an incompatibility with one of your plugins.

I tried your suggestion and noticed that it’s a theme issue, as the plugin works on Chrome, iOS and Android when using 2011 theme and featured image on posts. Would you care to find a solution for the plugin work with my premium theme?

I’m afraid that troubleshooting a commercial theme with seven hundred million features (according to the theme’s TF page) isn’t within the scope of the free support I am able to provide for a fairly simple free plugin.

I understand. Thank you so much for your time!
