I tested it without being logged in and it did work for me, so weird.
How can I get that fixed, though? I have no idea, I´m not all tech

    Yeah, guys, jarviscoca is right.

I’ve been waiting, expecting that this issue would be resolved with the last two updates, but nothing. Now not only it doesn’t share the results on facebook but doesn’t share on facebook at all.

What steps are you taking to resolve it? Can we help you in any way?

    Cheers,

    Syl

We appreciate the response, but just so you know, none of the quizzes share the results now, as R3volv3R has pointed out, and, the caption goes to PlayBuzz.com not to one’s site.

The really odd thing is that they used to work just fine, so what has changed? If there was a problem original from Facebook or WordPress (?sorry but isn’t this a dedicated plugin for WP?), then none would have behaved correctly in the first place, but they did, they just stopped functioning correctly overnight.

I believe, like R3volv3R does, that the problem originates in your site.

I, for one, can’t afford to be re-directing users outside my site.

Well, they should certainly offer some sort of explanation soon, since the information on the plugin description starts by noting very clearly that the embeds will appear and function as native part of one’s site content.

I don’t mind that PlayBuzz’s linked ‘Powered by..’ logo appears on the content, I mean, fair enough, but the embeds should work like they have described, otherwise it would be misleading.

I personally spent money advertising the new feature on my site on social media. Now the quizzes don’t function as they should (allowing users to share their results) and neither the traffic I paid for is staying on my site.

I was also going to use their service to add my own quizzes, too, which are generally very popular, instead of the service I’ve been using, thus benefiting their site as well.

A fix, an explanation, something is in order.

    Hi Michael,

Yes, because the calculator we both know doesn’t work with variable products, at least not within the Virtue theme, so they have to be set as simple products. Making the switch to simple products is easy, just choosing ‘Simple product’ from the drop-down menu at the product dashboard.

Now, I believe you mean the variations. Yes, you would have to set them up again for product using that plugin I recommended you.
In my case I only had a few products set up for my client, each with a few attributes and variations, so it wasn’t as much work.

If you think it’s going to cost you as much time (time is money) to work around the issue this way as it would Kadence’s way then I would follow their advice.

    Best of luck!

    Hey MrYellows,

I worked around that particular issue by purchasing this Extra Product Options plugin:

    http://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-extra-product-options/7908619?WT.ac=search_item&WT.oss_phrase=woocommerce&WT.oss_rank=8&WT.z_author=themecomplete

and using it to add the variations/options needed to simple products, so I could apply them the measure price calculator.

Whilst not an ideal solution, it is a way to get it all working when you or a client have an extremely limited budget and are very time-pressed.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi team,

    Thanks for your response.
Commenting below on the points you mentioned:

    – There’s no twitter widget. What do you mean, the YouTube follow tool on sidebar or the Social Media sharing buttons on product page and pages?

    – Yes, the index.php got in there god knows how because it’s the default Wp gave alongside the page/product name options (so don’t understand why a number appears for that particular one).
In any case, the structure is going to stay like that because otherwise there are too many broken links, re-direction doesn’t fix them and time is against us -besides, SEO isn’t affected by that structure. However, I don’t think that has nothing to do with the variations, because variations work perfectly fine when the theme’s ‘Detailed description’ and ‘Related Products’ are switched off.

They also stop working (the pricing fields disappear) when combined with the ‘Measure Price Calculator’ plugin, as I already mentioned.

    – Which brings me to that plugin issue. Turns out that the author’s own plugin’s live demos show a version of the calculator NOT working with variables, despite him saying it does (and that if it doesn’t it’s a theme’s issue) publicly.
I have addressed the misleading information accordingly and hopefully will get a refund, as it was a paid plugin.

    – The custom woocommerce gallery was applied after the theme’s was not working, not before, as I said in my previous message.

    – Also, it is precisely when I turn the theme cropping image settings off that the featured images don’t show on front-end.
Many of them don’t show on back-end either, but at least they do on front-end when using the theme cropping options.

    – Yes, I know the Fancy Product Designer isn’t responsive, but the client doesn’t have the budget to get a bespoke responsive feature like that.
Only a category of products (Vinilos Decorativos) have that feature, though, and of course we don’t need a gallery for those.

All in all, it’s not ideal, but I have sorted out the gallery issue by applying external solution and the ‘Measure Price Calculator’ issue by addressing the responsible party.

So, what we have left are:
    – The variations not working when ‘Detailed Product Description’ and ‘Related Products’ activated.
    – The featured images not appearing on front-end when theme’s cropping switched off and not appearing on back-end on many cases regardless.

    Cheers,

    Syl

    Hi guys,

Many thanks for the timely reply.

    The site is at: http://www.imaggina.info/

I had to use yet another external plugin to substitute the default theme product gallery images because my client wanted to see the different product images in one of the categories (FOTOMURALES) like already, but, of course, it isn’t ideal.

The ‘Custom Woocommerce Measure Price Calculator’ plugin is still not showing on front-end either because of the theme.

And the rest of the issues are still as they were, unresolved.

Hopefully you’ll be able to nail down what’s happening because I really don’t want to switch or buy another theme, I really like this one.

    Best,

    Syl
