I have been using Caldera Forms on 2 websites for almost a year. I have been satisfied with the consistent processing of forms and email confirmations, until recently.

For about a month, the form submission email to our office on one of the websites has been irratic. Sometimes we get notice of form submission and sometimes we do not. With the latest update, v 1.5.4, the email settings page on the plugin menu is blank. There used to be a drop-down menu where one could choose either wordpress or sendgrid. We are using sendgrid SMTP to deliver the emails generated by Caldera Forms. Some form submissions are being delivered to us and some are not.

When I test the sendgrid smtp directly, it works fine every time.

Out training center depends on these forms working correctly so that when people register for one of our classes, we receive the information and they get confirmation of their registration.

I know I have limited options with the free version, but I won’t even consider buying a product that doesn’t work consistently.

We used to use Ninja Forms, then switched to Caldera because of the issues with their products. We used the premium version of NF and purchased a couple of their addons.
