In reply to: [Cloudflare] Can Cloudflare work without it’s plugin on WordPress?Hi,
The plugin provides the following benefits:
– One-click WordPress-optimized settings
– Web application firewall (WAF) rulesets specific to WordPress (paid plans only)
– Automatic cache purge on website updates
– GUI within the WordPress plugin dashboard to toggle Cloudflare settingsThe plugin is not required – if you would prefer to use the Dashboard to manage your settings that is fine.

Hi,
The Extensions menu can be found under the W3TC menu (which is titled ‘Performance’) in the WordPress admin dashboard, in the left-hand side menu.
You could also try navigating to
yourdomain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=w3tc_extensionsOnce on the Extensions screen, you’ll see Cloudflare in a list of items, which you’ll need to activate. Once activated you can adjust settings, etc.

In reply to: [Cloudflare] Plugin QuestionsHi there,
Those plugins aren’t required, no, but you may want to use them based on your needs. Akismet is anti-spam and Comet Cache may help improve performance of your site.
Hi there,
Yes, you can use Cloudflare with W3TC. Instead of the CDN tab though in W3TC, navigate to the ‘Extensions’ menu and activate the Cloudflare extension. You’ll be prompted to enter your Cloudflare account email and API key which will allow you to manage some Cloudflare settings via the W3TC plugin. Note however that some Cloudflare settings are also managed by the Cloudflare plugin itself.
