Well, I wanted the categories to be restricted to only logged in users, but still visible in the menu. So if a guest sees the category link and clicks on it, they get a message that they need to register or login, or maybe they get redirected.
I am using the fungames theme. But I’ve actually sorted it now. Went with a different method, time was of the essence.
I have it set now that when a guest clicks on a restricted category, “PG13 Games” for example, they are redirected to the register page.
Thanks for your time though.
Did you find anything for this? I used Pierre’s Wordspew plugin for this before, but it hasn’t been updated in 4 years so I’m looking for something else.
Anyone have suggestions? I run a free game site and would like a shoutbox that is post-specific; ie, different for each post/game. Similar to the game shoutbox on kongregate .com.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Better WordPress Minify] Better WordPress Minify Update IssueOk, so here’s an update…
I enabled the option for compatibility with plugins/themes that print external JS/CSS files directly and then changed the cache directory path to blank so that the default is used. I thought the cache directory path seemed a little strange to me anyway. I’m not sure why the path was set to anything since I definitely did not change it. Either way, the problem appears to be fixed for now. It seems it was the cache directory path that was the culprit, btw. I’ll keep this topic open for now, in case anything happens again. Thanks for the quick support on this.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Better WordPress Minify] Better WordPress Minify Update IssueAlso, before anyone asks, I have “show hidden files” checked.

In reply to: [Better WordPress Minify] Better WordPress Minify Update IssueOh, and no, I wasn’t using friendly minify. At least, it is not turned on right now, after re-activating the plugin.

In reply to: [Better WordPress Minify] Better WordPress Minify Update IssueWell, now I can not find my htaccess anywhere in my wordpress installation. There is one outside of public_html, but that one is almost empty. I definitely had one before and it was quite robust. This is very strange, since I have changed nothing in my files in quite a while.

In reply to: [TAB SLIDE] Tab Slide InvisibleThank for the update. I’ve been really busy and haven’t updated it yet. But I’ll check it out soon.
Well, I have several icon packs with some pretty cool social icons I was wanting to implement. The options in the plugin are very good, for sure, but I like being a little different, I guess. lol.

In reply to: Unwanted Redirect to Youtube??Ok, I just used the program fileseek to search my foobox folders I still had on my pc. fooxbox is definitely the culprit, for me at least. Inside the file foolic_class.php was the code for spamcheckr.com. I’m going to try to remove the code and keep foobox, since it’s an integral part of my website. Hopefully, this will be enough. For anyone with this same issue, please refer to the stackoverflow link I posted earlier. According those good folks, several plugins have this same code, including a woocommerce plugin, formcraft and now foobox. We need to be careful where we get these plugins from.

In reply to: Unwanted Redirect to Youtube??Funny you should say that. I just did a little more digging on google and came up with this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22923521/wordpress-blog-infected-with-html-refresh-meta-tag
I am running foobox and that’s exactly what I’m searching through now, looking for the link specified at stackoverflow; some “spamchecker” link. I actually found the actual link to the youtube video in my site’s cache folder, under galleries, which lead me to think it is foobox. I’ll let you know what I find out.

In reply to: Unwanted Redirect to Youtube??Well, it’s too bad ya’ll are dealing with it too, but I feel better knowing it’s not just me. I’ve went through most of my theme files multiple times and found nothing about a refresh, redirect, location replace or anything suspicious. At first I thought it was a fluke when my IBP software discovered it, and I’ve ran IBP several times since with no trace of it, but just earlier today I was redirected to that stupid video. lol, and it’s not even a good video!
