thank you that works, but i didn’t expect to have the whole of the right hand of the screen empty! i will have to rethink my approach.

i am using wp mail smtp, that is what my question was regarding. it does not send the email from the site when requested. i get an error which says
SMTP -> ERROR: Failed to connect to server: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
