I did change the php.ini file and restart WP and I also created a new php.ini file in the root directory of my WP install and even that did not help!

    Update:
I have tried to unzip the wordpress file in a different location and point the MAMP Apache server to that location, and then when I go through localhost it asks me to setup the wp-config.php file again.
So now the million dollar question – what do I need to do to get my old site working? Just pointing the Apache server back to that folder does not work – so I am guessing I need to change some setting somewhere?

So the fresh install of wordpress runs when I put it in a different destination and point that MAMP Apache server there. I really do not want to have to rebuild the site from scratch, so any help will be appreciated
