Hi Shonny – our problem was with a bad database table that needed to be restored, so it really didn’t have anything to do with the slider. When we restored the table the slider worked fine. Our server admin did it so not sure exactly which table and whether it was corrupted files or a permissions problem…
Update: Looks like the disappearing slider was due to a database table getting munged in a server move. Its feeling better now, so no problem – our fault, not Advanced Post Slider!
I had the same thing happen but only with the WordPress upgrade to 4.2.1. The slider is just gone.
The slider settings have also disappeared so when I click “add new slideshow” nothing shows up (to reconstruct the slideshow that disappeared). No controls, no nothing – just the tabs across the top (i.e Template One, ” Two, ” Three, Thumbnails)
