In reply to: [WP Notes Widget] Feature request + Bug reportI think your plugin i.e. one of the pages of your plugin in my WP admin area was linking to http://webrockstar.net/feedback-comments or maybe a page here on ww.wp.xz.cn?
I don’t remember, but it was definitely a link from you/your plugin. (I didn’t get that link by accident, just clicked a link that was asking for feedback or linking to a support page or something like that.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Plugin Organizer] All settings back to default after update?@watchteller
I actually didn’t have any problems.
My post here was a mistake because I confused one of my sites with another.
So, I personally don’t have any issues.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Plugin Organizer] All settings back to default after update?Sorry, this was a brain fart of mine.
I confused 2 different sites.
I didn’t have any global or post type settings on the site. (I have those setting on the site with 89 plugins but I didn’t update there yet.)
So, this support thread can be deleted entirely.
Sorry!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Plugin Organizer] All settings back to default after update? Also, the existing groups got deleted after update to version 9.0.1 as well.

In reply to: [IP Geo Block] Exceptions for ‘Admin ajax/post’Thanks a lot!
I also replied to your email with some ideas on how you could potentially create a premium version of your plugin.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [IP Geo Block] Exceptions for ‘Admin ajax/post’I just sent you an email with login details to a test installation
and detailed information regarding the issue and how to replicate it.
To replicate the issue you need to try from a **non-whitelisted** country (I had whitelisted Japan so you can login).Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [IP Geo Block] Exceptions for ‘Admin ajax/post’P.S.
On this page here: http://www.ipgeoblock.com/changelog/release-3.0.2.html
you are explaining in the screenshot that a URL part under “Request” needs to be entered into the exceptions box.
The problem is:
I don’t see any request part in my cases!
Here’s an example of what I see in the logs when one of the important plugins is getting blocked:2017-04-28 12:01:39 *IP_ADDRESS* CA blocked POST[443]:/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
User agent:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.133 Safari/537.36 OPR/44.0.2510.1218
HTTP headers:
HTTP_ORIGIN=https://mydomain.com,HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH=XMLHttpRequest,HTTP_REFERER=https://mydomain.com/quiz/,HTTP_X_HTTPS=1
$_POST data:
tqb-variation-page_id,tqb-variation-variation_id,tqb-variation-user_unique,name,email,_form_type,__tcb_lg_fc,__tcb_lg_msg,_asset_group,_asset_option,_create_account,_error_message_option,_back_url,_submit_option,_use_captcha,_captcha_theme,_captcha_type,_…As you can see, there is NO “request” area as shown in this screenshot:

How can I prevent the plugin from getting blocked?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [IP Geo Block] Exceptions for ‘Admin ajax/post’Yet another question:
I explained above that I was trying to enter exceptions manually into the box
but I didn’t say where I took those things from that I was entering there.
Well, I took them from the logs of your plugin.
To be exact, in the “logs” tab I see entries under the “Admin area”.
They usually look like this:wp-zep POST[443]:/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
So, I click on that to expand and then I see something like this:
User agent:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.81 Safari/537.36
HTTP headers:
HTTP_ORIGIN=https://mydomain.com,HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH=XMLHttpRequest,HTTP_REFERER=https://mydomain.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=ip-geo-block&tab=4&ip-geo-block-auth-nonce=2bbd765435,HTTP_X_HTTPS=1
$_POST data:
data,interval,_nonce,action,screen_id,has_focus,ip-geo-block-auth-nonceSo, I copy the parts that I see under “$_POST data” (data,interval,_nonce,action,screen_id,has_focus,ip-geo-block-auth-nonce) and paste them into the exceptions box in settings.
Is that wrong?
Here’s a bunch of other things that I saw in the logs under “$_POST data” when a particular plugin was getting blocked:
tqb-variation-page_id,tqb-variation-variation_id,tqb-variation-user_unique,name,email,_form_type,__tcb_lg_fc,__tcb_lg_msg,_asset_group,_asset_option,_create_account,_error_message_option,_back_url,_submit_option,_use_captcha,_captcha_theme,_captcha_type
So, I entered them into the exceptions box.
Was that correct or not?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [IP Geo Block] Exceptions for ‘Admin ajax/post’You haven’t answered my question (but I realize was it was a bit unclear).
Anyway, my question wasn’t about ticking the check boxes.
My question was about manually entering exceptions.
So, what happens for those comma separated things that I enter manually?
As you know, there aren’t any lock symbols for them.When/where will those manual exceptions be applied? this is very unclear.
For example, plugin A is getting blocked on the front end.
If I manually enter all strings (shown in the logs) into the exceptions box, will it unblock everything for normal front end users? Or will it only unblock for logged in users?Another related question:
Does “privileged user” mean any logged in user?
Or does it mean only users with admin privileges?
Or does it mean something entirely different??Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [SiteGuard WP Plugin] Fatal error with SSL!P.S. In cPanel you can click the “file manager” and then go to:
public_html > wp-content > plugins
and look for the folder with “siteguard” in its name.
Rename it and you’re good to go.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [SiteGuard WP Plugin] Fatal error with SSL!Login via FTP and change the name of the folder that contains this plugin.
That will automatically deactivate this plugin.I was talking about this page here:
https://kb.yoast.com/kb/setting-up-twitter-cards-in-wordpress-seo/
That’s the link I got from you first and it took me several minutes
to figure out why the hell there’s no “Social” menu item in my dashboard. While I was going through the configuration wizard in this plugin version
there was absolutely no mention of anything related to Twitter or social.
But even if it had been there, I might not have immediately realized that that needs to be switched on.
As I said, you need to have a separate Advanced tab dedicated solely to the advanced switch (and the options it will unlock) and nothing else under that tab. It’s a bad idea to hide important settings like that!
“Advanced settings” needs to be a separate tab in the dashboard.
A tab dedicated to the advanced settings only (explaining what features will become available by switching it on if you don’t want to have it on by default).
Right now you have basically hidden it on the features tab.
It is hidden because it’s just a normal switch with a description in tiny font.
Someone who (like me) is looking for a way to control the meta for social networks is looking for a big, fat SOCIAL switch somewhere. And if it’s not on by default, then I expect an ADVANCED tab that tells me in big letters: “To switch advanced social settings on move this switch here!”Even with the link you had provided above, I had to go 2 or 3 times back and forth until I figured out how to get that “Social” thing show up in my dashboard.
That is because for all important steps you have screenshots there but for the most important step of actually switching the whole “social” thing on you have just a text that’s easy to overlook.Forum: Plugins
