Giving an answer to my own post: The problem was Safari. Working with Mozilla solved the problem. What would be useful in the ‘screenshot’ section is a hint that shortcode inserting links should have this style:
[wiki-embed url=’http://link-to-the-wiki-page.com’ tabs no-edit no-contents]
This works also for Safari.
