OK, I found a way to experiment with this plugin. I duplicate the basic WP gallery and hide one copy. Then, I convert the remaining one to Photonic and choose a display pattern. This will give me a chance to play with it for a while without losing my exit door if needed. Here is a sample post from my main site. I left two versions of one of the galleries, Photonic and WordPress Gallery, for you to see. After a day or so, I will also hide that basic gallery to maintain article consistency. I have converted a few more in a couple of more recent articles as well.

Thank you for your plugin and help.
You are quick, thank you! I have some learning to do. Since I use the block editor, I don’t seem to have any chance of retaining a default WP gallery if I disable Photonic. Decisions, decisions …
I’ll bug you with one more question. If I convert some basic WP galleries to Photonic and after a while it does not work for some reason. What happens if I uninstall the plugin? Do the galleries revert back to basic WP galleries? If they don’t automatically do not revert, is there a manual way of reverting them without going through creating each gallery from scratch?
Bummer!
Thank you for your informative and very quick reply. I made some changes, they don’t seem to disappear now. I switched both galleries to Justified Grid option and they are stable. I also made the other change you suggested. I am very glad to have learned about this plugin as I have many native WordPress galleries, mostly in some kind of a cropped or square thumbnail layout on my primary site. I am also struggling with another gallery plugin, this may offer alternatives. Can your plugin import from other gallery plugins?
Could I ask once more to have this feature brought back? Without having a block menu bar, even deleting an Imagely block becomes too cumbersome and potentially dangerous in the code editor.
Thanks.
I am glad to hear that this deficiency in the block design will be on the improvements list. I will find workarounds. I am also glad that reporting a problem did not result in my account being cancelled this time!!;-)
Thank you.
Thanks for the information, better late than never!

In reply to: [Rank Math SEO – AI SEO Tools to Dominate SEO Rankings] Rank Math tablesThank you for your help, and for years of serving my modest site.
@milanxy, I want to move just a few galleries to the other site where there are many galleries. In worst case, I will reenter the image title and alt fields. Thank you for your help and guidance.
Thank you for your detailed explanations. My education on these matters continues. Much appreciated.
Thank you for the information and for your quick reply. Much appreciated.
Thank you @mbsharp, you are very helpful. Until this last version, when I edited an old NextGEN block, it would have been converted to the Imagely block. Or, editing an existing gallery in the list of galleries, would have changed all its insertions from NG Gallery to Imagely Gallery. Now, the old blocks remain as they are. They might have changed the code to keep things separate I guess. That is a welcome change.
Thanks again.
