    Zoo>> Thanks for the info.

    Here’s some Specs

    Win Vista (fully updated)
    64 Bit
    6Gigs Ram
Something like a thousand Gigs of HD space.
IE 8 (only Browser. Yah, I need to get Fox and Chrome)

    What else?

    ESMI>> Thank you!

Let me know if you want to go ahead with this and I’ll pass on some installation tips (and, yes, I will write them up properly one of these days).

    Yep, pass them on!

    Thanks,

    D.

    Smos,

    I am using IE 8.0.6001.18943

    Am in the States.

I have the ‘Default’ IE Security. Nothing changed in there.

No problem with the Firewall, just IE. That was the problem area with the ‘Information Bar’ at top.

The front page did look good, yes a bit slow but not outrageously so. I would like to get a look around.

I also would like to know what’s going on as I said above, I have never seen that warning before.

    Smos,

I went, I waited, and then I stopped.

After more than two and a half decades (and more when it was just a BBS thing) I got something I have never encountered before.

The IE info bar popped up and said this:

“IE has modified this page to help prevent “Cross-Site” scripting.”

    What’s up with that?

Windows Help and Support tells me this:

“Internet Explorer’s Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) Filter can help prevent one website from adding script code to another website. XSS Filter watches how websites interact, and when it recognizes a potential attack, it will automatically block script code from running.”

No, I am not anything near a WP whiz-kid, still crawling. I do have some HTML behind me and I’ve never seen this particular warning come up before.

It did take almost two minutes to open all the way and when I got that warning I just closed it out.

    My two-cents.

    Esmi,

    ooohhh….css. sigh.

OK, I asked. Now I will see what I can do with it.

Style sheets always bugged me for some reason. Now I have a reason to try a bit harder.

And, thanks for the heads-up on being able to see the .GIF. I can remember starting out with HTML and placing images in a page and them not showing up. Reason no one was seeing them and I could was because the images were on my computer and I didn’t upload them to a server so I could then ‘point’ to them for everyone else to see.

Thanks for your help! Always appreciated.

    Dale

    edit: word spelling…
