Hi there @mrwweb, thanks for reaching out. We are aware of this issue for some of our users when using particular SMTP plugins. We are working on a solution for this which you can follow here.
In the meantime while waiting for this you could perform some further checks which may help us investigate your issue individually. Could you please share the following:
- Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
- Does the same occur if you use a different SMTP plugin?
- A copy of the email. You can download this and share via a Google drive link in the private form above.
If you’d prefer to wait for the fix then no problem but if you wish to share these details then I will be happy to take a closer look at this for you.
@orfevre13 Thanks for the response. Could you please explain in more detail what you have found is happening please so that we are sure we understand it.
Are you saying that you have configured this using another clients account and it is working with this other account? Please share as much information as possible which will help us to understand and help to find the cause/solution for you.
@orfevre13 Thanks for the update and sorry to hear this. When checking your site, I also don’t see these events so it’s possible there is a conflict in play here.
To check for any such conflict, you can try disabling plugins one by one and checking for the events each time to see if they start to be tracked. If they are, you can then identify any such conflict source.
We have also seen conflicts with themes in the past that have caused these events not to be tracked. Please try temporarily changing your theme to a default WordPress theme and checking for the events.

@orfevre13 When you mentioned that there’s no conversion tracking in Analyitcs, are you referring to this being on your Site Kit dashboard or your Analytics account?
If you could share some further context on this including screenshots or a recording that would be helpful. Please also feel free to share your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
With the above, I can investigate this further for you and suggest some next steps to take.

With regards to the events you mention, these can be captured by using the Site Kit Plugin conversion tracking option. As noted on the page, it integrates with a limited number of supported ww.wp.xz.cn plugins which are listed for you to see.

Hi @angela201, thanks for your question and glad to hear you’re enjoying your Site Kit experience. With regards to your Analytics stats query, the discrepancy you’re seeing could be due to some of your same day data not yet being processed.
We have recently posted about data freshness on the Site Kit dashboard here so you can read more about this there. If you feel the discrepancy is not due to this then please let us know and we can look at this further for you. Hopefully this helps to answer your question.

@orfevre13 Thanks for sharing the information. While I review this, I will let you know that you can still reset the plugin by going to Tools > Available Tools >Reset Site Kit. Please can you try this and confirm if you see the same issue when trying to set up once more?

- Have you tried setting up Site Kit in an Incognito browser? And does the same issue occur?

@powerj9 I just wanted to provide an update for you on this. I have discussed this with the team and it will be discussed further if we could indeed adjust the description for this metric. This isn’t a guarantee that this will happen but we appreciate the feedback and feel that perhaps this could be improved to watch this space.

@gilbertsearcy I just wanted to follow up to check if you’d got that filter working? One other thing I can mention here is that you can also always use dashboard sharing within Site Kit to share a restricted view of the Site Kit dashboard, WordPress dashboard summary widget, and toolbar with other user roles.
Hi @rena20 thanks for getting in touch. There can be a delay in current day data which we have recently posted about here so some of the data discrepancy could be due to the data delays outlined there.
However, if the discrepancy spans past the current day which this sounds like it could do, then we’d be happy to check this further for you. To do this, please could you share the following:
- Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
- Do you have consent mode implemented?
- A recording or screenshots comparing the two different totals from Site Kit and your Analytics account.
I will await your response with this information and once shared I will review and suggest some next steps to take to see why you may have this discrepancy. Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime.
