I had a similar issues with my clients managed wordpress sites [moderator note – removed unnecessary link], and I spent a good few days trying to solve it using self help YouTube videos etc… At the end I had to call the hosting provider Godaddy to sort it for me. You should try a similar approach to save your self me and money and having to post a “5th request for help”. Because let’s be honest using this forum to get help with your particular problem will take time.

In reply to: Front page gets renamed to “Home”Yes I just tried it and it works by going to manage locations. The thing with word-press is the more you use it, the easier it becomes. there are plenty of “HOW TO” http://Www.youtube.com videos, which you can use to get help. I have been using it for a year now and I am just about getting the hang of it. I am more into SEO than Web design. But to be honest from a Visual point of view, Not having a home page just looks Odd, and it might not be good for ranking well either. So you should try to have a basic home page and you can use that page to target a keyword to rank for, just like I have done with my moving Business [link redacted]. Check it out and get some ideas from it.
All in all wordpress is a great platform for an online business. Google loves it, because there aren’t many coding errors on according to the “experts”. In reply to: Front page gets renamed to “Home”Hey man, There are still people about to comment and offer solutions. But! they want be coming fast enough to sort your particular out. Some of the posts here are some 6 months old and they still get people commenting on them. I think the best way for you to deal with the issue you are having is to keep trying to fiddle with the site, till you get it right eventually. Your post is good and its the first i have come across here with that problem.

In reply to: Front page gets renamed to “Home”I Understand you. I think it would be best for you to just trail and error it. It will take you a bit of time, but you will eventually get it right. I will go on google answers and see if I can get some know-how info on this and get back to you as soon as I find anything. I am sure you are not the only one having this problem. With wordpress, the more you use it the better you get at it.

I used to have similar problems with [link redacted] Site. To solve this problem just do the following:1 – Go to your wordpress site Dashboard
2 – Go to Settings and select the Reading option
3 – Then Change the Front Page to Shop on the drop down box at the top
4 – Save changesIf you do this then the page Shop will replace the old Home Page. It will become the New Landing home page without the URl extension( /Shop ). so it will just be the domain http://www.buyCadavers.com that will be the Url for the Shop Webpage.
If you then want to delete the old home page then go to the main WordPress dashboard, click pages and then select and delete from there. That way you will just be left with Shop and About pages.
