Same issue, I cannot get the plugin to activate. No errors on install, no error on trying to activate. It just won’t activate. I used version 0.8.5.2 for a while and no issues whatsoever.

The plugin cannot be activated again after that. It just says fatal error when I try. I deleted the old plugin manually and manually installed and got the same error. I had to re-download the last stable release and use it and it worked fine.
