In reply to: [Simple Membership] logging in nothing happensThank you, I get that now. I will need to write a user manual for future members as many things are not relly intuitive – and even less to people who have no idea about working on computers.
Thanks a lot for your help. It should be good for the moment.
I might need help some other time. Thanks for being here for us!

In reply to: [Simple Membership] logging in nothing happensOh, well, I found the addon and can now redirect to the membership portal.
I also found a plugin Login-logout menu which seems to do the same, right? So should I use one or both?
Now the question: HOW DOES A LOG_OUT button appear on the page when logged in? I cannot find that.
Thanks for the help.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Simple Membership] logging in nothing happensI do the login from the login page which comes from Simple membership, it is not the normal wordpress login box, but it has long lines. See http://drtomhabib.com/membership-login. I have “join us” and Member Login in my menu.

In reply to: [Simple Membership] logging in nothing happensNo, I log in from a different browser with a different user and password and so does my husband (he has nothing to do with the website creation itself)
I wanted to try out how the things go.I guess I would need to set up the membership area (how) and somehow bring the people there when they log in… It doesn’t do it by itself.

In reply to: [Simple Membership] logging in nothing happensI guess the login need to be redirected somehow to my welcome page. How?
When I log in I just remain on the login page and my inserted text is gone.
My husband tried from a different device and he is directed to the homepage after logging in and there is no indication that he is logged in.
Something is still not working…Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Simple Membership] logging in nothing happensThank you! I managed to get the pages back from the trash and they seem to be configured right.
Now I have the old initial problem that login in with user and password nothing happens. This time there are no pages of any other membership plugin and only the simple membership plugin installed.
Any advice?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Simple Membership] logging in nothing happensYes, right. And I deleted both plugins and all the pages which came with them. Then I tried to re-install one at a time, but no predefined pages came with neither the one, nor the other.
I give up for tonight, try again tomorrow. I don’t want to mess up more…
Any advice how to get the predefined pages together with re-installing the plugin? Thanks for the help

In reply to: [Simple Membership] logging in nothing happensWell, I did the error to delete ALL the membership pages and both plugins and then tried to re-install one – it worked, but the default pages are not created in my pages-list. So now I think I have messed up a lot and I better stop for today to not mess up more (it is 8pm).
Do you have any suggestion how to get the plugin WITH the predefined pages back? I will try again tomorrow!
Thanks

In reply to: [Simple Membership] logging in nothing happensPS: I tried to delete everything connected with the plugin (the pages and the plugin itself)as I thought it might be due to the url change, and also the other plugin, which was not activated.
I re-installed the simple membership plugin – but this time it didn’t automatically create the pages. Mhm. Have to figure this out….Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Simple Membership] logging in nothing happensI have done all that. I have also changed the url as the urls for the pages were originally created with a different website address.
I have the registration/login etc pages in the pages list. When I call up the “login page” I find that: [ultimatemember form_id=7]
I have created myself a welcome page and restricted the content to free membership and I would have expected that the login would have taken me there….
Thanks for working that through with me.

In reply to: [Simple Membership] logging in nothing happensThanks you, yes. I think I did all that but what I actually need to know how to set up the content part of the membership area and how to send the subscribers there. Do you know a tutorial about that? I found one for a different plugin where there are all sorts of templates like “Login welcome page” membership options”, none of which I an find in this plugin.
Thanks

In reply to: [Sauron] I very much recommend the theme – because of the supportI would like to write a second review, as my experience with Support is ongoing awesome.
Whatever my problems are, they are friendly and very helpful, A special shoutout to Suzie who is even teaching me how, in future, I can resolve minor problems myself. Thank you SOOO much.Forum: Themes and Templates
