When posting a comment within two minutes, it works without any problems. One possible cause is the limited validity period of the reCAPTCHA user response token. I can reproduce the error message on both a PC and a mobile phone.

On my mobile phone I get the Google reCAPTCHA verification failed message when I need some extra time to post a longer response. If I go back, my comment is still filled in and if I hit send again, the comment will be posted. Hopefully this helps in finding the cause.

It has not been removed I have hidden the reCAPTCHA icon on all pages with walking routes. The reCAPTCHA icon is only visible on the contact page.
