resolved
This issue is now sorted – it was a php.ini issue – details below from my host:
———-
It seems the php.ini file you are currently using is meant for PHP version 5.6 and not 7. Would you like me to set up the other file for you?
I would also recommend using files as a save handler, which is recommended for php7, the syntax would be:
session.save_handler = files
session.save_path = /tmpHi,
I have done so.some feedback on the contact form…
when I tried to submit it, it wouldn’t submit and I got the message: “The email parameter should include an email, euid, or leid key”
I had a valid email address – but eventually wondered if the problem might be because the email address might have already been registered. I unchecked the box to be put on mailing list for newsletters (think I am on already) and the form submitted ok. I might have stuck there baffled for some time if I didn’t have a ‘lightbulb moment’!
… I have tested for plugin conflicts by turning others off and that did not appear to be the problem.
Hi Matt,
I have now tried 2a, 2b and both 2a and 2b implemented – but problem persists!
Are there any other options?
Thanks,
Adrian… I am assuming 2a and 2b do similar things, with the plugin option for those not happy working with code – I don’t like adding extra plugins if possible!
Hello Matt,
my host has confirmed that there is no server-caching on my website, I have done step 2a (code into wp-config.php) – and also cleared my browser cache before re-testing.
I am still getting the issue though – any ideas?
Thanks,
Adrian(and I was excited to see my first donation of £20 this morning – but it was your test of course!)
Hi Matt,
and thank you very much for such a prompt reply! I will try each of those and report back.
Best wishes,
Adrian
