In reply to: [EU VAT Assistant for WooCommerce] change vat number after order placedHi Diego,
Thank you as always for your detailed and helpful reply – cancelling the previous order and creating a new one with the ‘correct’ VAT number certainly seems like the best way to deal with the scenario 🙂

In reply to: [EU VAT Assistant for WooCommerce] VIES export showing strange totals for GBPHi Diego,
Sorry for the delay coming back to you – many thanks for the info and pointers, very helpful for us testing. I think the only answer is that the exchange rate set when those orders were placed was wrong/malformed in some way, likely due to some action this end. We ran some test orders again, and happy to report we are seeing the values now getting calculated correctly thankfully 🙂
Kind regards,

In reply to: [EU VAT Assistant for WooCommerce] VIES export showing strange totals for GBPHi Diego,
Thanks so much for the reply, very much appreciated 🙂
In EU VAT Assistant settings (v. 1.9.15.190819), on Currency tab, the Pound Sterling (GBP) is set to: “0.892172”. The store itself is in Euro.
When I run the suggested SQL query, I get:
a:7:{s:24:”eu_vat_assistant_version”;s:13:”1.9.14.190618″;s:29:”exchange_rates_provider_label”;s:6:”BitPay”;s:16:”invoice_currency”;s:3:”GBP”;s:5:”taxes”;a:0:{}s:12:”vat_currency”;s:3:”EUR”;s:26:”vat_currency_exchange_rate”;d:0.0002999999999999999737189393389513725196593441069126129150390625;s:36:”vat_currency_exchange_rate_timestamp”;i:1553100133;}…the vat_currency_exchange_rate looks very bizarre! I’m bit unsure what could be happening…all I can say for sure is that it only seems to affect GBP orders (EUR orders calculate as expected), and the rates set on Currency tab have not changed recently (not set to auto update).
If you have any thoughts/suggestions, much appreciated 🙂 There are not too many orders so I can likely manually update the above to be correct as the exchange rate has not been changed recently, but keen for sure to try and udnerstand what is happening 🙂
Cheers,
AHi 🙂
Thanks again for the assistance on this – just wondering if the images not adding tax element was resolved since?
Thanks
Aconfirming if I add it as a select item, and set is as ‘fixed fee’ and tick ‘fixed fee taxable’ it looks to show option including taxation 🙂
Many thanks
Hi,
Thanks very much for sending on the update, much appreciated!
Confirming initial testing looking good for main product price, it is calculating and adding on the tax from main product onto the pricing table – great!
The only issue I can see is that it is not adding tax when paid options are added – in our scenario, we have ‘image’ type with pricing set to e.g. 10.00. The total calculated does not seem to be adding/calculating tax for the product options.
If I can send any other info, let me know 🙂
Cheers
Hi,
Just checking in to see if there has been any update on this feature? We are happy with the Pro version, working very well, the tax display being the only issue 🙂 Alternatively, if there was some quick code snippet that might do this until full update solves.
thanks!Hi,
Confirming yes – we are using “WooCommerce Price Based on Country Pro Add-on”…I went into all the settings for this third party plugin, and reset the info for USD by explicitly stating “USD” rather than having it dynamically set the ISO country code. Happy to confirm that has resolved…no idea why it was specifically USD, and why it only affected the output from the Cart Edit addon!Cheers,
AHi,
Many thanks for the check in – sure, here are screenshots:1) Screenshot of cart edit when currency is Euro:

AAwesome, thanks 🙂
Hi 🙂
Just wondering if any update/timeline on this – proving to be causing issues for end users, so we may need to disable it for both desktop and mobile…would prefer to maintain for desktop if possible!
thanks
