Yes, that has worked in the past, but this time it created another error and I had to roll back the site to a different date and then it was fine, but seconds later WP auto updated to the new version and it locked me out of my site again.

Today I received the following error message “Admin not a valid username on WordPress.com, please try again with the correct username.” Is this a temporary error? It would not accept my email as a username alternative option as it suggested…yet I get emails from the WP regarding site updates etc. Is this a temporary problem? I’m locked out of the site.
