A follow-up, I actually was able to solve my own problem by installing Prelovac’s SEO Smart Links Business 1.8.8 (I had it installed on an older website) – hopefully you have access to that for your own plugin as it does custom post types and functions with Gutenberg.

Thank you so much for the quick response. Moments ago I learned what we had done to create the 404 and so we corrected the problem. It was neither a LiteSpeed or Simple 301 Redirects related issue.
