I think it’s due to the fact that twitter has stopped support for API1.0. Users must now be authenticated for this type of thing. I’ve tweeted the developer and this was his reply:

I contacted the developer over twitter and the was the response:

So fingers crossed it’ll be sorted soon. Such a great plugin.
